Our group photo at the Bema in Corinth, Greece. A tremendous experience!
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8
I wrote this reflection on the plane from Athens to Atlanta, flying back home to Nashville.
The missions event in Greece was invigorating.
One of the greatest blessings was the opportunity to live in community with a remarkably diverse group of missionaries—multinational, multilingual, and multicultural.
We broke bread together, shared life together, and prayed together at all times.
I was inspired by their faithfulness and resilience, and humbled by their appreciation for my small part in the journey.
This trip reminded me again that God’s mission is deeply relational.
His work always flows through people—through friendships, mentoring, and shared spiritual formation.
I’ll reflect more deeply on this theme of relationships and discipleship in an upcoming post.
For now, I simply want to say thank you for your faithful prayer covering.
The prayers of the saints (that’s you!) have made all the difference.
The Lord has been gracious—keeping me safe, healthy, and fruitful throughout this journey.
The posts in this series were written as real-time reflections and a prayer guide during my missions work in Korea and Greece. Together with the posts that follow, they form Reflections from Korea & Greece: Scripture, Stories, and Prayer from the Mission Field — a curated collection of mission insights drawn from lived experience, Scripture, and prayer.
Rather than daily updates, these reflections offer a prayerful field report: stories from the journey, lessons learned along the way, and ongoing prayer points for God’s mission among the nations.
• Pray for the missionaries you know—wherever they are serving. Pray especially for the OMF missionaries who are part of this leadership cohort.
• Pray for missionaries returning from the field—for renewal, encouragement, and spiritual refreshment.
• Pray for yourself, that your understanding of God’s heart for the nations would deepen.
• Pray for God to strengthen and unify His global Church.
Thank you again for your prayers—they truly make all the difference.
The grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
— Rob
